A few months ago I completed my first ever Vipassana meditation course. A whole 10 days in silence with 10 hours of meditation a day. Given that I had very little meditation practice beforehand, this was really diving into the deep end.
Honestly, it is one of the best things I have ever done and has profoundly changed the way I see the world and how I show up in it.
The key takeaway is self awareness. Never before has I been able to be so aware of how I react to situations and how I can choose to react less.
